"A Lifetime Experience" I had often watched hot air balloons sailing across the sky and thought that it was something I wanted to try. So recently, a friend and I booked a flight, an it was truly a lifetime experience! We left from Beaver County, crossed into Ohio, and back into Pennsylvania. Friends asked if we were nervous about the flight, but the calm demeanor of Tim Meteney and his 30 years of experience in flying hot air balloons put us at ease. The take-off, flight and landing were very smooth. They sky was beautiful and picture perfect for the brightly colored balloon. I would highly recommend a ride in a hot air balloon to anyone who has ever thought about doing it. And I believe that you can't go wrong with Tim's many years of flying experience. -Maureen S. |

"A Dream That Came True"
Joanne and I have been dating for four years, and since that first year, I knew I wanted to marry her. Four years later, I finally had the ring and now it was time to plan a special proposal. I had gone through many ideas in my mind on how to do it, but kept on going back to one certain idea that I had been thinking about since we first started dating... Joanne and I share a love for adventure and had talked about wanting to take a hot air balloon ride together. Little did Joanne know that since our first talk about hot air balloon rides, my mind had already started thinking about what it would be like to ask her to many me on a hot air balloon. Two weeks before our engagement, while researching balloon operators close to Pittsburgh, I came upon Tim's company and I purchased our ride. I was very excited and had so many questions for Tim. I can`t tell you how many times I called him with questions (about nearby Bed and Breakfasts and restaurants, how the proposal would play out, and directions, for example.) Most people would have been quick to get off the phone with me, or avoided my calls altogether, but Tim was always so happy to give his advice and was so easy going and supportive about any question or plan I had. The day of our engagement was here! I woke up that morning and looked out the window to find pouring down rain. Of course I called Tim right away. Like usual, he was so calm and told me we'll just sit tight and see how the day unfolds. He gave me the option of canceling, but that wasn't an option for me. We did come up with a second plan and decided to check in with each other every few hours to check the possibility of flying. Luckily, the rain stopped and Tim called and told me he didn't want to get my hopes up and that he wouldn't put any of our lives in danger, however he would do everything he could to make this day special for Joanne and me and to come to the balloon's dock and try his best to get us up in that balloon  I surprised Joanne and we were on our way to the balloon dock. We got lost and hit traffic. I was so nervous about proposing and now was also nervous about making Tim and his crew wait. I called them to let them know of our dilemma and once again he was so understanding. When we got there, Tim and his crew were all smiles, and got us ready to go. They even joked with me about how nervous I was. They drove us to a field where Joanne and I helped them inflate the balloon. We floated up in the sky and it was so peaceful. Little kids and their families waved to us from below, dogs barked; we saw deer, horses and crops as we drifted with the wind, He talked about the area and it's main crop, soy bean, and his experience with flying balloons, commercial airplanes and private jets. Joanne looked so beautiful as she waved to the kids below. I felt so close to Joanne and though I was nervous, I was ready to ask her to be my wife. As we started to descend, Tim gave us a very exciting landing and we floated down to a family's back yard. Tim's partners, Devin and Chuck, who chased the balloon, came to us and asked us for a video testimonial. After we gave the testimonial, they kept the camera rolling and that's when I started talking to Joanne, Even though we were in this family's back yard and Tim and his crew was there, it felt private, like it was just Joanne and me. I asked her to marry me and she said YES! Not only did Tim and his crew give us an engagement we'll remember forever, they also took pictures and got the proposal on video too. Thank you Tim for helping make what l always wanted to do for Joanne come true. -Chad | |
